Hazard / issue The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) received a notification from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed of the European Commission that the lollipop stick of the above-mentioned product may come loose unexpectedly. An investigation by the CFS revealed that the above-mentioned importer had imported into Hong Kong the affected batches of the product concerned.
Remedy / action
- Not to consume, and to discard, the affected batches of the product.
- The CFS has alerted the trade, and will continue to follow up on the incident and take appropriate action.
- The investigation is ongoing.
- Stop using or selling the affected batches of the product immediately if possess them.
