Product name A children’s felt play set consisting of a two-sided Christmas tree, a set of holiday-themed felt ornaments and a storage box. The Christmas tree component contains a music box powered by button batteries.

Hazard / issue The product doesn’t comply with the mandatory standards for products containing button/coin batteries. The compartment housing the batteries isn’t secured, and children could access the button/coin battery. The product and its packaging are missing warning information about: the dangers of button/coin batteries to children what to do when a person suspects someone has swallowed or placed a button/coin battery inside any part of their body.
Remedy / action
- Stop using the Christmas Tree Play Set immediately and keep it out of reach of children. Write “RECALLED” on the Christmas Tree Play Set in permanent marker and submit a photograph of the marked product to to receive a full refund. Dispose of the Christmas Tree Play Set safely by following the disposal instructions at Recycle Mate or B-Cycle once the photograph is submitted.
