Hazard / issue Kmart is recalling this drink bottle because the lid threading may shrink when exposed to hot liquids, causing the lid to eject as a projectile. There is a risk of serious injury including lacerations from impact if the lid ejects forcefully or burn injuries from hot liquids. Incidents have occurred.
Remedy / action
- Do not use the drink bottle for hot liquids. Return the drink bottle to Kmart for a full refund. Contact Kmart if you are unable to return the drink bottle or have sold or gifted it to another person.
