Hazard / issue Tuozhu Technology Limited have recalled the Bambu Lab A1 3D printers sold at Mindkits NZ from 8 /11/2023 to 27/1/2024. The heatbed cable in affected printers can be damaged if bent during shipping or as installed. This can cause a short-circuit and spark or burn through the insulation layer, resulting in electric shock or a fire.
Remedy / action
  • Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled 3D printers, and to arrange a remedy under the Consumer Guarantees Act of either: (1) return of their A1 3D printers for a full refund, or (2) for free replacement of the heatbed and cable by a local electronics repair facility. Consumers requesting a full refund will be sent a prepaid shipping label to return the printer.
